Everyday Living Design Inc. is a Toronto based design firm and have been in operation for 15+ years. It carries a high volume of projects annually which range from Residential and Commercial Renovations to Residential furnishings and decoration.
We are looking for a vibrant, enthusiastic and highly organized individual who loves working in a fun, fast paced and professional environment. This individual requires strong organizational and leadership skills, is a self-starter, efficient and is detail oriented.
This position is for a Senior Interior Designer who will work in collaboration with the Principal Designer and Junior Designer in developing all design projects as well as the implementation and trade management. You will be required to develop all designs, source materials and create client-facing presentations . You will also be required to schedule and lead trades during site inspections all while ensuring that Everyday Living Designs’ high quality of standards and customer service are being met.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Aid in the creative development in all projects
- Source and Select materials, fixtures and finishes to support design
- Prepare client presentations
- Obtain quotations based on specifications and labour
- Prepare client proposals and manage project budget
- Schedule all trades and manage project timeline
- Conduct site visits and inspections with all trades
- Ensure integrity of design is met to meet ELDs standards
- Oversee installation with trades when required
- Inspect custom orders prior to delivery
- Prepare deficiencies list prior to completion of project
- Execution of Client Reveal Day
- Deliver an exceptional ELD experience throughout the lifespan of each project with all trades, vendors and clients
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years experience as an interior designer
- Experienced in Residential & Commercial Design
- Bachelor Degree in an accredited Interior Design program
- Strength in AutoCAD, Revit, Illustrator, Google Drive, Design Docs
- Highly organized, detail oriented and can work in a fast paced, demanding environment
- Self-starter and efficient with a strong work ethic
- Proactive and highly motivated
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects at once and manage timelines
- Passionate for design with the creative perspective
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Presents self in a professional and articulate manner
- Legally entitled to work in Canada; Canadian citizen, Permanent resident or Visa
- Valid Drivers license with full time access to vehicle
- Supply own laptop / cell phone
